Sigmund Freud statue confuses people into reporting suicide attempt

Revelers in downtown Grand Rapids were surprised to see a body hanging from atop the Trade Center Building at the corner of Louis and Fulton Tuesday night; it even took Grand Rapids Police and Fire by surprise. Several people called 911 because they thought a man had committed suicide.

It turned out to be a life-size sculpture recently put up by a local gallery. Zora Carrier is the Director of the Open Concept Gallery. She says the sculpture is called "Man Hanging Out".

The art gallery says it's supposed to send a message of hope. "Well, he's hanging in there."
