I've since learned that the airship was sighted over San Francisco just after the 1906 quake and fire. I reduced the super high res image of that sighting to a desktop wallpaper:
The image is from Abney Park, which is full of great Steampunk art, fashion, and music. The Abney Park store also has some great t-shirts and more exotic steampunk fashions such as corsets, goggles, and this Captain's Wrist Mount Navigation and Communications Device:
