They're finally making an HK-47 figure. But... (link roundup)

The good news is that the 2009 Legacy Wave 2 will feature HK-47. The bad news is he's a build-a-figure and you'll have to buy six figures you will desperately not want to have to buy.

For those of you not familiar with HK-47, he's from Knights of the Old Republic. Imagine if when Luke bought a protocol droid, instead of buying C-3PO, he unknowingly bought an assassin droid formerly owned by a Sith Lord. And through the rest of the trilogy, the droid kept encouraging him to commit atrocities.

And a few more links:

1. Before you get out your torch and pitchfork, here's a not entirely unconvincing argument in favor of allowing AIG workers to claim their bonuses.

2. I think this long article at GQ is supposed to show what an incredible sleazeball Lenny Dykstra is. But the real story is what an incredibly greedy fool the author is. For example, if your boss (in a supposedly professional environment), referred to Derek Jeter, Chris Paul, and Tiger Woods as "three spearchuckers," would you nevertheless be touched when he offered a little praise for your work? And would you give him your credit card number simply because he promised to pay you a bonus later? (Of course the story within the story is that no matter how big and annoying they make banner ads, I can still close them without even noticing what the ad is for.)

3. I've never understood the popularity of political blogger Ezra Klein and feel a bit vindicated after seeing what he wrote in his Twitter feed.

4. Win a copy of the book The Saucer Fleet.
