The Star Wars version of "the snuggie" (and more)

For my money, Bear and Bird Gallery's "Stitch Wars" exhibition is the best art show I've seen since I started blogging. Below are some of my favorites from the show, as well as links to the artists' sites and webshops when I could find them. You can see high-res versions of the photos, more photos, and photos of many more items from the show in the Flickr gallery. There's also a companion blog with a great photo of a giant plush Wookiee. And if you're going to be in Lauderhill, Florida, the show runs July 18 - August 29, 2009. I received a copy of the price list, but I wasn't clear if I was supposed to post that information. So contact B&B for details if interested. In the meantime, you'll find lots of great items in the various webshops I've linked to.

Dead Tauntaun with zippered stomach and frozen Luke Skywalker by Heidi Kenney. Webshop.

"The Woogiee" with remote control bandolier by A. Pants.

Ultra-cuddly Chewie by Phil Barbato. Etsy shop.

Sarlacc pillow by Becky "Scrumptious Delight" Gould. Etsy shop.

Luke and Yoda by Marilyn Patrizio. Etsy shop.

Lil' Jabba by Kat Brunnegraff.

Plush Twiilek by Danielle "Danielleorama" White. Etsy shop.

Plush Wampa, Han, Chewbacca, and bloody Wampa by Denn Rodriguez. Etsy shop.

"Millenium Falcon Fascinator," perfect for flappers, by Brenda Burton.

Plush Acklay by Brigette, the Weird Bug Lady. Etsy shop.

And speaking of Star Wars, here's a great vintage photo of the actors who played Chewie, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Leia and R2D2 in their street clothes.
