Tokyo importing large number of bees in the hopes they'll scare off crows

As Amy Stein points out, it sounds like the plot of a bad sci-fi movie. The group supervising the bees even has a suitably mysterious name: The Ginza Bee Project. Link.

This reminds me, I read a few months back that Disneyland had imported a special kind of wasp to control smaller insects.
