Ghost Cats on the prowl in Virginia

Wildlife officials say that except for a small number in Florida, mountain lions, pumas, and panthers haven't existed in the eastern United States since 1900. But since 2003, the local newspaper in Blackstone, Virginia, has published at least 15 stories on cougar sightings in town and in the neighboring 41,000-acre Army National Guard training base. Local officials are doing their best to prove or disprove the existence of the "ghost cats." You can read more here, and this site has a list of sightings. It's always interesting when people see strange things near a military base.
