New automata by Keith Newstead
New automata by Keith Newstead:

Another New Steadman:

Brian's Brilliant Bike:
Another New Steadman:
My friend Ralph Steadman asked me if I could animate one of his divine pictures. Here is the result. All the copies of Ralphs original were pasted onto thin ply and cut-out using my scroll saw. There is a complication of pulley wheel's, cranks and slliders hidden behind the picture and I have used a random gearing which gives a more interesting movment.(You would notice if it was not there)
Brian's Brilliant Bike:
My memorial automata for the much loved Brian Stewart, late curator of Falmouth Art Gallery,is finished. I have a feeling that he would have liked it, knowing his sense of humour.*Buy Alice in Wonderland by Ralph Steadman at Amazon.
