Me and You by Nero

Me and You by Nero - - the song from the commercial for Beats by Dr. Dre at Best Buy.

This is good, too: Nero - Must Be The Feeling (Delta Heavy Remix):

Available as a free download.

Cool and creepy animated video by Chris Milk for Rome's Two Against One

The song is "Two Against One" from the album "Rome" by Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi, featuring Jack White and Norah Jones. The video was directed by Chris Milk and Anthony Francisco Schepperd. You can see another interactive video from the album here. And Two Against One is a 99 cent download at Amazon. Via.

The Leningrad Cowboys

Inspektøren points out that The Leningrad Cowboys have been doing the long pointy boots for a long time now. Here they are performing Stairway to Heaven with the Red Army Alexandrov Ensemble (goofy, but I genuinely like this version):

Music roundup

Below are my favorites from all of your music recommendations from last week. I sent the $25 credit to anonymous for the first track.

Rustie - Surph.

Junior Boys - Itchy Fingers. (Thanks, Mors.)

Le Butcherettes - Henry Don't Got Love. (Thanks, Lyndon.)

Hercules & Love Affair - Painted Eyes. (Thanks, Joe.)

The Civil Wars - Barton Hollow. (Thanks, Jen.)

Nunchucks! (and some excellent 80's songs)

Lots of goofy nunchuck action edited by Jon Eisener (Hobo With a Shotgun):

But the real gem is the song in the second video - - Innocent Hearts by John Farnham. As soon as I heard it, I thought it sounded like the epitome of a 80's movie soundtrack song, and sure enough, it's from Savage Streets starring Linda Blair:

The movie looks like a can't miss as Linda Blair hunts down the members of an 80's gang:

And John Farnham is definitely now one of my favorites. Here's Justice for One from the same soundtrack:

I'm pretty bitter that the soundtrack is $130 at Amazon.

The Rolling Stones on the TAMI Show - fun to see them so young, and It's Alright at 11:30 is great.

Link roundup

1. The song from that Nike commercial I posted this morning was Ellie Goulding's Under The Sheets (Jakwob remix). Here's more than a dozen remixes of Goulding's songs (including the one from the video). So far I like the Jakwob remix of Starry Eyes.

2. The guns in Terra Nova are apparently Nerf guns painted black.

3. Google News apparently won't index sites written by one person:
