Sad, The Animation Guild blog is reporting that Sym-Bionic Titan has been canceled because "it didn’t have enough toys connected to it."
It's too bad, it was a quality cartoon, far superior in every way to the Clone Wars (even if the stripper pole episode was a little too mature for my kids). But way back on July 21, 2010, I wrote about the giant robot design, "How are they going to manage to make a decent looking, affordable toy with that transparent look?" Via.

Sym-Bionic Titan with a stripper pole
Sym-Bionic Titan is a great show, and Episode 10, "Lessons in Love" was no exception. Well-paced, funny, unpredictable. But the show is rated PG and airs at 8:00 p.m. and reairs at 8:30 a.m. on Cartoon Network.

A kid's cartoon should not involve a cheerleader trying to seduce a fat geek by dancing on a pole as "Shake It, Shake It, Booty Quake It" blares:

For the time being, you can watch the episode below. There are lots of angry comments at Youtube.

Watch Sym-Bionic Titan
You can watch the first episode of Sym-Bionic Titan below. I put together a gallery featuring most of the designs:

Escape spaceship

Lance and his watch

Ilana, her watch, and her father's necklace

Octus/Newton

Manus

Corus

General Modula

Solomon, Steel, and Solomon's goons
And just because:

Link roundup
1. Wired interviewed Genndy Tartakovsky about Sym-Bionic Titan (which was excellent).
2. And the producers of Batman the Brave and the Bold talk about how much the toy company influences plot decisions: "The toy company wanted to see Starro as much as possible, because they were going to put a big push behind that character."
3. A restaurant in New York got a "B" and modified the sign to say "Best." Via.

Sym-Bionic Titan footage
Here's a too short clip from Genndy Tartakovsky's new cartoon Sym-Bionic Titan, featuring the titan wrestling with a five-headed mecha dragon. (How are they going to manage to make a decent looking, affordable toy with that transparent look?)
