Best example yet for why you should buy Google results for your own name
For my last post on United Airlines, I attempted to find the official site for the advertising agency BD'M. From the press release, I knew the name of the agency, and that the two founding partners were Bob Barrie and Stuart D'Rozario. Should be more than enough to find the official site with a simple Google search, right?
The site isn't one of the top 100 results for the search "BD'M". And the search "bd'm Bob Barrie Stuart D'Rozario" produced only 13 results, which didn't include the official site, either. But the paid result at the top of the page (which I typically automatically ignore) is for the official site. If BD'M hadn't paid for the placement, their site wouldn't be discoverable through Google.
