Sure, some cravings reflect nutrient deficiencies. (Not all cravings: An alcoholic craves alcohol.) But in the cases I know about, there is an obvious or semi-obvious connection between the craving and the deficiency. For example, people who chew too much ice (pagophagia) crave ice to chew. They are iron-deficient. Eating iron eliminates the pagophagia. Long ago, a craving to eat something crunchy would have led you to eat bones. Bone marrow is high in iron.

Roger Harkavy stumbled upon envelopes containing over a hundred pages of concept art from MOSPEADA, or as I always thought of it - - the third Robotech tv series. Macross Gashapon

This set of Macross miniatures is officially the Yamato 1/200 Valkyrie Fighter Collection 1 Gashapon. There's a lengthy review and lots of photos here. I found one set for sale at eBay, and also found one Collection 2 set on sale. They're awfully expensive. For a fraction of the price, the same seller is selling the highly posable Revoltech Macross Plus mechs with free shipping.

Macross Valkyrie with terrific paintjob

Found here amongst a whole bunch of photos of Macross/Robotech toys. (Is there a specific term for the snarling mouth paint job?)

Thanks to Destoo, here's a bit more on "Nose Art." Wikipedia says:

The first recorded piece of nose art was a sea monster painted on the nose of an Italian flying boat in 1913. This was followed by the popular tradition of painting mouths underneath the propeller spinner, initiated by the German pilots in World War I, and exemplified by the cavallino of Francesco Baracca. After these beginnings, though, most nose art was conceived and produced by the aircraft ground crews, not the pilots.
