Running shoes designed for menstruating women

Asics' GEL-Kayano 16 came out last year and were designed to accommodate menstruating runners:
When oestrogen is high, and a woman is at her most fertile, the arch drops. Later in the month, when she is menstruating, levels of the hormone are low but her arch is raised.

Foot Locker Art Prize

There's a few days left:
THE FOOT LOCKER ART PRIZE IS THE MOST EXCITING COLLABORATION IN AUSTRALASIA’S SNEAKER HISTORY.

With a first prize of AUD $50,001, it’s also the World’s Richest Colouring Competition.

Our aim is to shake up the art world. This is a serious art prize, but it’s also a colouring competition so it’s wide open to street artists, fine artists, school kids and anyone who has ever lived and breathed sneakers. Anyone could win it.

There are 8 sneaker templates to choose from – some of our all-time favourite kicks from Nike, adidas, Puma and Converse. Everyone has the same starting point so it’s all about self-expression, customisation and seeing where it can take you.

The prizes are big and the judges have serious cred, so don’t think about it, enter here.

ENTRIES CLOSE 20 JUNE 2011.
