Hot Toys posted a photo gallery of some of their upcoming toys, including these great Astro Boy toys.

And a few more links:

1. MMO The Matrix Online is ending this week and the final moments sound pretty cool. Via.

2. The custom Star Wars Mighty Muggs I've mentioned are now up for bid.

3. Arturo Gatti's wife was accused of strangling him to death with a purse strap, but Gatti's death has been ruled a suicide by Brazilian police.

Logo for Conjure Mobile (link roundup)

Logo for Conjure Mobile by Breadline Design.

And a few more links:

1. Now this is a headline: "It's a very nice house in the country (but not for an orgy)." English manor rented out for swingers party, and staff was apparently not told in advance as to the nature of the party. Via.

2. Optimus Prime cake.

3. One of Britain's most distinguished orchestra conductors, Sir Edward Downes, flew to Switzerland with his wife and joined her in drinking a lethal cocktail of barbiturates provided by an assisted-suicide clinic. She was deathly ill, and he didn't want to live without her. Their children watched as the couple drank the fatal cocktail and then died, holding each other's hands. Via.

Creepy Mickey Mouse skeleton sculpted by Ballistyc. See also his grisly Kamatamari Damacy sculpture.

And a few more links:

1. Roundup of some truly bizarre behavior by plants and animals. For example, Cabbage Aphids are suicide bombers.

2. Dexter meets David and Goliath, by way of Caravaggio.

3. Earlier this week, a Los Angeles police detective walked into the lobby of an L.A. County Sheriff’s Department station and shot herself.

4. Apparently, simply hanging small plastic bags of water can scare flies away.

Fairy Tale Titan (link roundup)

As far as I can tell, this fairy tale giant mech is one of several illustrations by Samuel Ribeyron that are on display here and part of a new book. Here's his webstore.

And a few more links:

1. Suicide by volcano can be funny.

2. Neon sign FAIL.

3. Supposedly unemployment combined with underemployment is 20% in Los Angeles. Relatedly, when I asked why I had to see the cashier at the gas station rather than just paying at the pump, the cashier told me I lived in a high-fraud area. Via.

4. Creepy fallen tree. Reminds me of Greek myths about people being turned into trees.

*Previously: Neon sign desktop icons.
