Speed Racer was faaaantastic

I don't agree with a single criticism I've read. The action was thrilling, the special effects were entirely convincing (and revolutionary), and casting Al Gore as the villain was a stroke of genius. Somewhere Joel Silver and the Wachowskis must be wondering what hit them.
